Message of Director’s

Greetings and welcome to the Diocesan Social Work Society Lucknow. I am extremely privileged to lead this DSWS NGO which is undisputed as well as, well recognized in the field of Social Work. We uphold the ethos and values by dedicating and committing ourselves to the social cause. DSWS is serving the people in the social sector last 27years. It extends its service in the rural areas (Villages) of Lucknow, Barabanki, Bahraich Districts which covers around 15000 families. We also help the special children like Visually Impaired, Mentally Retarded, Hearing Impaired and Physically Handicapped children who are given the platform to shape their life like normal children by empowering and encouraging them through various activities. DSWS helps individuals, families, groups and communities to enhance their individual and collective being. Our aim is to help people, develop their skills and their ability to use their resources and those of the communities to solve problems.
I appreciate the service of my Coordinators, animators and trainers who are always ready to shoulder up any responsibilities by their commitment and dedication to the serve the people. It is they who work at the grass root level and create the harmonious atmosphere by the cordial relationship with the people in the village at large. I also thank all those who are partners who help us in our every need by supporting us financially for the programmes and activities in the places where we work. I am ever grateful to my superiors and the Catholic Diocese of Lucknow including Most. Rev. Dr. Gerald John Mathias Bishop of Lucknow, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers and all faithful for their constant help and back support in all areas. We are indebted to Caritas India, UKSVK Agra, Jan Vikas Samiti Varanasi, Manos Unidas, Vitamin Angels and RUPCHA for their ever willing support in finance and time to time guidance. I pray to God that he may inspire all of us to serve the people and help us to build a just society where we the children of our mother India live for each other and help each other in every sphere of life.
